Firefly Fitness at the Y - Warren Facility

Firefly is a grant-awarded fun and exciting program at the Warren County YMCA for adults with intellectual disabilities. Firefly has a goal of getting our participants to have healthy lifestyles and social interactions with the community. Staff is trained and has experience in working with Firefly participants. Firefly classes range from indoor and outdoor activities and will change based on group requests.  This program is geared for individuals, along with their aide and/or family members. This program will be offered FREE because of the Edith L Trees Trust grant. Pre-registration is required. Please register at the Y Front Welcome Desk during registration dates. Must register prior to the start of each 5 week session. Firefly participants also receive a YMCA membership.
*Please bring your YMCA membership card each time you visit the Y for Firefly class.

Firefly Art Class

The Y Champion Arts Program is for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  This program gives them the opportunity to explore and expand their unique and creative talents, promoting a sense of accomplishments and empowerment through the arts.
Classes are held on Tuesdays from 9:30-10:30 am OR 10:45-11:45 am at the TAWC Building, 2nd Floor, 42 Clark Street, Warren.

Firefly Fitness & Art Classes at the Sheffield YMCA

Firefly is a fun and exciting program at the YMCA for adults with intellectual disabilities. Firefly Fitness classes are held Monday through Wednesday and range from indoor and outdoor activities and may change based on group requests. This program is geared for 12 individuals, along with their aide and/or family members.  All will participate in activities to guide them towards a healthy lifestyle.
Thursday is Firefly Art class and will accomodate 8 participants. The Y Champion Arts Program gives Firefly participants the opportunity to explore and expand their unique and creative talents, promoting a sense of accomplishments and empowerment through the arts. This open art studio allows them to work on a weekly project with step by step instructions. 

This program will be offered FREE because of the Edith L Trees Trust grant.  Pre-registration is required.  Please register with Jennifer Goerlich at the Sheffield site of the Warren County YMCA.  Must register prior to the start of each 5-week session. Firefly participants also receive a YMCA membership.
