A competitive swim team for boys and girls ages 5 - 18. Perfect for the beginning competitor as well as the most experienced. The major emphasis is on stroke development, teamwork and the development of the YMCA's four core values of respect, responsibility, caring and honesty. Swimmers must be YMCA members and must be able to swim one length of the pool with stopping, using crawl stroke. If in doubt as to what level your swimmer is, contact Dani Mumford, Aquatics Director, to have them tested. Our team consists of approximately 75 members from all over Warren County. The season runs from October through March.

Home swim meets will begin at 11:00 am. Swimmers need to be on deck for warm-ups at 10:00 am.
Away meet details will be provided prior to meet date.

Warren Swim Invitational Meet:
All hands on deck for our biggest meet of the year! Set-up will be held on Friday evening with the invitational running all day on Saturday. Volunteers are needed to help with pre-meeting tasks, event timing, staging, scoring, concessions, and so much more.

ALL parents are expected to help during each home swim meet. Jobs consist of: set-up, timing, scoring, selling 50/50, concessions, lining up swimmers, providing judges and referees. Please check the swim team bulletin board (outside of Dani's office) for meet information and/or concession donations during season.

Introduction to Competitive Diving is a 5-week course designed to familiarize new divers with the 5 basic positions for 1-meter springboard diving. Participants will learn how to safely execute all the same dives they see in High School, College, and Olympic athletes. It is recommended to have a background in aerial sports (gymnastics, cheer, etc.), but is not required. This course will involve both dry land exercises and pool work. Participants will be divided by grade levels: 5th - 8th and 9th -12th.
Students MUST have attained Stage 4 of YMCA Progressive Swim Level. A minimum of 4 divers are needed to run this program. Brandon Gregg, WAHS Diving Coach, will lead this program. Swim waiver is required prior to registration.
Note: There will be open board practices from 8:00-9:00 am before class begins.
